Healing the Past Meditation Retreat
with Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Chokyi
Book: Modern Buddhism, available for purchase in our bookstore
When we aren’t feeling well, we usually go to a doctor to get medicine to heal. Effective medicine for healing painful memories are Buddhist meditations on love. Through Buddha’s timeless and profound wisdom, he shared how to balance our minds and recognize other’s happiness and freedom from suffering matters too. When we shift from self to others with equanimity, we can begin to heal the past.
In this retreat, we will explore:
Discovering a profound equality of ourself and others
What obstructs our ability to heal
The sublime, healing benefits of training in cherishing love
