January

In the month of January, we will learn what anxiety is, and practical ways we can make our minds feel peaceful and happy.

Anxiety happens when we imagine something in the future and we worry that we will not be able to handle it.

This can feel like our mind, and sometimes even our body, are hurting. The great news is, Buddha taught us ways we can think about situations and learn not to worry.

Schedule

Week 1: Is this feeling anxiety? How do I know what anxiety is?
Week 2: How can we calm our mind?
Week 3: How can we change the way we think?
Week 4: How can we feel safe and protected from anxiety?

Family Membership

Our basic family membership at KMC Indianapolis is $50 for a 1 parent, 1-2 kid bundle. This is includes Kids Club, and our all our adult drop in classes.

If you are interested in a family membership outside the 1 parent, 1-2 kid basic bundle, please email AD@meditation-indianapolis.org, and we will be happy to work out a membership plan that suits the unique needs of your family!

About the Teacher

Jannette has been with the center for over for ten years, and has been a part of our children’s meditation program from the beginning. She is a busy mother of two, and a wonderful example of how to integrate Buddha’s teachings into a busy life. She enjoys sharing the modern presentation of Buddha’s teachings with parents and kids alike to help people find peace of mind.
