Celebrating 2024!
What an amazing year 2024 is shaping up to be for Kadampa Meditation Center Indianapolis! Gen Chokyi became our Resident Teacher in May, and has led the way in some landmark events for us! Lets take a look at a few of our accomplishments…
Gen Demo’s Public Talk at the Indiana State Museum
We held KMC Indianapolis’s most successful and well attended public talk in our 25 year history of existence! With over 100 people in attendance on Saturday at the Indiana State Museum, and 50 people on Sunday at the Center; it was a historic weekend for the flourishing of Kadam dharma in Indianapolis!
Shrine & Throne
Our shrine has been blessed with Dorje Shugden and Vajrayogini tormas, and risers have been offered to elevate the Buddhas. We also have a brand new throne with a gilded, double vajra that was gifted to us from the Manjushri Art Studio!
As Gen Demo commented, we already had a fully qualified shrine, but now it is even more qualified!
Strengthening the Hoosier Sangha Community
KMC Bloomington and KMC Indianapolis have always been close and members have always mutually supported each other. But that bond has strengthened this year with Gen Chokyi as the Resident of both Centers.
When Gen Demo saw the shrine, she immediately remarked that it reminded her of Bloomington and really created a “sister center” connection between the two Centers.
Support KMC Indianapolis in 2025 and Beyond!
As we are nearing the end of the year, please consider making year a donation to the Center to support our continued growth as we go into 2025.
We are going to focus heavily on growing our community and increasing our membership and attendance at classes and events. We are offering beginner friendly retreats, puja and potlucks events, and have guest teachers Gen Dorje and Gen Zamling on the schedule. We have big plans to benefit all living beings, and your support is vital to helping us achieve that goal!
