Meditation is a mind that is single-pointedly focused on a virtuous object, and whose function is to make the mind peaceful and calm. Whenever we meditate, we are performing a mental action that will cause us to experience inner peace in the future.

Sunday Mornings 11:00am – 12:15pm | $12
With Gen Kelsang Chokyi

No-one wants to suffer, and many times enduring our own suffering or witnessing others misery can be difficult. Buddha taught that everyone wants to be happy and free from suffering and compassion is the supreme medicine. How can compassion cure our suffering? And, how can we navigate generating a compassionate mind with joy?

“No one wants to suffer, yet out of ignorance living beings create suffering by performing non-virtuous actions. We should therefore feel equal compassion for all living beings without exception; there is no single living being who is not a suitable object of our compassion.”

This class will be using "The New Eight Steps to Happiness" by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche which is available to purchase in the bookstore.
