Resolutions for a Meaningful Life

With Gen Kelsang Chokyi

Sundays 11:00am - 12:15pm | $12 drop-in | Free for members

Usually, our new year’s resolutions are externally driven like losing some weight, exercising and getting more organized. In this series, we will look into how to make a meaningful intention or resolution to change our mind.

Our mind is like a cloudy sky, in essence clear and pure but overcast by the clouds of delusions. Just as the thickest clouds eventually disperse, so too even the heaviest delusions can be removed from our mind. Delusions such as hatred, greed and ignorance are not an intrinsic part of the mind. If we apply the appropriate methods they can be completely eliminated, and we will experience the supreme happiness of full enlightenment.

Lojong, training the mind, uses ancient methods to show us how to transform our mind using adverse or distressing situations and learning how to integrate them into our spiritual practice. Come explore how to build upon a meaningful intention and sustain it day by day to create more peace of mind and contentment.
