We all want peace of mind. We think once work settles down, our health gets better or the families' schedule gets more manageable then we can have some peace of mind. In this retreat, you will discover that you don't have to wait for everything externally to get aligned before you can have a settled, content mind.
“If we were to respond to difficult situations with a positive or peaceful mind they would not be problems for us; indeed, we may even come to regard them as challenges or opportunities for growth and development.”
- Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
In this retreat, Gen Kelsang Chokyi will explore the following:
What is inner peace and how can it be cultivated in daily life?
How to pacify disturbing distracting thoughts and focus appropriately through meditation to generate a peaceful mind.
What really obstructs our peace of mind and how to remove those barriers?
The retreat is suitable for all meditation levels, including beginners. It includes guided meditations, short teachings as well as Q&A in the last session. Everyone can benefit from this retreat — you don't have to be Buddhist to participate.
This retreat will be using the book Transform Your Life and Clarity of Mind booklet by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche which is available to purchase in the bookstore.
