with Kadampa Teacher, Kathy Ryan
Perhaps, you don’t think you can meditate or focus your mind. In this beginner-friendly meditation retreat, we will engage in becoming familiar with pacifying distractions and discover how to make ourselves happy and peaceful.
Meditation is a scientific method to transform human nature from bad to good. Its function is to give rise to inner peace, and if our mind is peaceful all the time, it will be happy all the time. By learning the basics of what meditation is and why we want to meditate, we can begin our journey as a meditator and feel confident in which direction to follow in our practice. During this retreat, Kathy Ryan will guide meditations to explore how easy or effortless it can be to enjoy meditation.
Light refreshments — tea, pastries and fresh fruit — will be provided during the break.
